“The meeting November 8th was most
informative. Dr. Jennifer Tittensor shared new information with the group
about new gene testing on the mastectomy tissue, which still can be done after
the fact. It can determine who really needs chemo and who does not.
This with updates on gene testing and mastectomy and control of pain were some
of the topics covered. Dr Jon Bishop discussed the recent advances and
indications of using dermal substitutes in making the results of immediate
reconstruction better in terms of less surgery, better symmetry of size and
softness. Refreshments were enjoyed by all for a great evening. “
